A Short report of drop out enrolled girl’s children through Hausla initiatives
Rosa Sansthan is a social organization, ROSA since 10 years it’s working on children’s, women, adolescent girls and farmer in different districts of eastern part of UP in rural areas directly with community/people. Rural Organization for Social Advancement- “ROSA” Sansthan. It is a civil society, currently working in eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, India, The main target group of the organization is children, adolescent, women, unorganized labor and Marginal farmer of rural area of deprived society (most are the people of the every caste and religion who are most neglected in the society) who is scattered in different classes and castes. They are struggling on their level for livelihood and basic rights and entitlements but due to current socio and political circumstances, their whole development is not progressive as per their basic need and dignity as a human being.
ROSA Sansthan along with NEG-FIRE started the “Hausla – The Girl Power”. This projects main target is to “Empowering girls between 14-18 years to release their full potential through career guidance, IT & Life-skills formation”. This project came into existence in the year 2015-2016 in Maharajganj & Azamgarh of 27 gram panchayat for Adolescent girls by establishing Aviskar Center in 6 cluster ( 2 cluster in Azamgarh & 44 cluster in Maharajganj, with the hope of establishing full potential in girls through career guidance, IT & Life skills.
Adolescent girls in India are a largely invisible– prevailing socio-cultural customs and traditions leave them powerless to decide their own future. Lack of autonomy makes adolescent girls in India extremely vulnerable. Dominant behaviours and mind sets about adolescent girls are fairly universal across India and are manifested in key aspects of their lives like discrimination at home, early marriage, lack of education, lack of formal employment etc.
ROSA has brought a hope in adolescent girls and wonderful opportunity where they can achieve knowledge and can use it in future and know about today’s culture. ROSA has given them the opportunity to think of their better life and take decision of their own. Through computer knowledge they will be capable of searching information of their need and many more things.
The present report is based on enrollment of dropout adolescent girls of 08 villages and the following villages are Bahuaar, Bodana, Giraiyan, Jamuikala, Jharwaliya, Mishrauliya, Paragpur, Shitalapur. ROSA has done its best through enrolling dropout adolescent’s girls and has achieved its success. Providing them IT & Lifeskill training and mainstreming them to a higher level of knowledge.
